It includes such famous stories of Premchand as The Salt Inspector(Namak Ka Daroga), The Shroud(Kafan), Divine Justice(Ishvariya Nyay) and Panch Parmeshwar. The translator has tried to remain faithful to the text in style, content and tone. It is hoped that whereas Indian readers would be pleasantly surprised to see the translations of these stories, readers at large will have the benefit of reading the master of Hindi stories in a faithful translation.
